Project
Arthur Kill Terminal is seeking LEED Gold certification under the USGBC’s LEED
v4 BD+C New Construction program. The building’s sustainable development
goals are to reduce energy use (95% over ASHRAE standard), reduce water use
(30% over EPAct standard) significantly lowering the building’s carbon footprint
and operating costs. Additional building sustainability strategies include solar
photovoltaic panels, energy metering, lighting controls, use of low emitting
materials, green vehicle charging stations, waste management and green
cleaning programs, and heat island reduction.
